Students may claim the fees paid to the institution for purposes of the tuition tax credit provided that all other requirements for the claim are met. Additionally, students must have attained the age of 16 before the end of the year and the courses or programs supplied must provide the students with sufficient skills to enable them to work or improve their skills in a recognized occupation.
It is important to note that the certification of the institution does not guarantee that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will automatically accept receipts for all courses or programs offered by the institution for tuition tax credits purposes.
